Here's a bit about me and my motivations behind this work.
I'm living in Victoria BC, Lekw'ungen Nation Territory. This is where I raised my family and have worked most of my adult life. I was raised in a first generation immigrant household and speak Polish and French (passibly).
My interest in hypnotherapy is rooted in a lifelong interest in the mind, coupled with a deep need to empower people to live their best life.
We come into the world extremely vulnerable; open to every experience. All experiences teach us what the world is; its dangers and safe places.
As a young man I conducted deep explorations into my own spirituality, exploring various traditions and methods of prayer and meditation, which led me through deep experiences of my own mind and how both the internal and external world are shaped by how we think and feel.
Through decades of caring for family members with chronic illness, working with people with disabilities, and supporting underserved communities, I found myself drawn to recognizing others’ needs and supporting them to find their own sovereignty.
But the real turning point was when I found the key to my own empowerment. I had spent my entire adult life living inside the limits of what I thought I was and wasn’t capable of. These limits had profound consequences on every aspect of my life. The journey to overcome these limiting beliefs was long and painful. But when I finally broke through, I was shocked to realize that what I thought was the extent of my potential was actually within my power to create in the now.
This experience of the power of the mind led me to explore ways that I could help bring others to expanding their own self imposed limits.
Hypnosis addresses the foundations of our beliefs. Our beliefs are shaped by our experience and knowledge of the world. But also by how we feel and respond to our memories. This forms the basis of how we and why we respond to the events around us. And this is the world of the subconscious; something we can't talk or will ourselves out of.
What we call the subconscious can be viewed as a complex of factors, influences of reactions, triggering cortisol or dopamine; the chemicals of anxiety and relaxation; fear and contentedness.
Through hypnosis you can imagine and inhabit realities that are in line with your personal goals, bringing the future into the present. These goals can be as simple as quitting bad habits, to overcoming lifelong traumas.
In my experience, hypnosis is the most subtle and effective modality to create change in one’s life.
